IAN AND MEGAN MORRIS

OCT. 4, 2008

Facts about us.

SO... WE GOT MARRIED!

About Megan

Megan was born and raised in the Chicagoland area but came to Murfreesboro, Tenn., for college because she was looking to move someplace “totally different.” Well, she got it. Luckily, living in the south agrees with her, and she’s been here 11 years now. She misses Chicago every once in a while, but then remembers the sub-zero winters and lack of good barbeque and figures calling and visiting works out just fine.

She graduated from MTSU in 2003 with a bachelor’s in journalism and Spanish, and has worked for CVS Pharmacy as a certified pharmacy technician, the Rutherford County Health Department as a Spanish translator, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center as a pharmacy technician and the marketing coordinator, and for Apple as a Mac specialist. Megan now works for the best company ever—Hammock Inc., a custom publishing and media company based in Nashville, Tenn., as a writer and website wrangler.

Megan enjoys photography, hiking and reading, but because she’s a big nerd she is most frequently found blogging or playing video games.

About Ian

Ian was born in Salisbury, N.C., and moved to Murfreesboro, Tenn., when he was 14 (after a five-year stint in Walhalla, S.C.) His inherited nomadism took him to St. Petersburg, Fla., in 2003, but he moved back after a year to be closer to his friends and family again.

Ian graduated from MTSU in 2002 with a bachelor’s in mathematics. He couldn’t get enough of the numbers and went back again a few years later, graduating with his master’s in biostatistics in 2007. He also worked for CVS Pharmacy as a certified pharmacy technician—that’s where he and Megan met, in case you missed that. He currently works as a statistical programmer specialist for the State of Tennessee’s Department of Safety, where he brings home all kinds of data about how dangerous SUVs, ATVs and old guys riding motorcycles are on the roads.

Ian enjoys fishing, hiking, golfing and camping, but he can most often be found playing video games, watching TV or checking on his fantasy football team.
